Study Description and Objectives
Panel Intelligence engaged a set of opinion-leading clinicians and researchers in hematology/oncology in a discussion designed to:
§ Assess awareness and general impressions of Genzyme’s Mozobil
· Level of excitement surrounding this agent
· Explore validity, viability, and appeal of Mozobil’s mechanism of action as an inhibitor of the CXCR4 receptor
o Discussion of its profile, potential strengths, weaknesses, concerns, etc.
· Likelihood of approval
· Clinical and commercial potential
§ Determine Mozobil’s anticipated role in treatment algorithms for autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplant patients, particularly those with multiple myeloma and NHL
· Candidate patient characteristics (patient age, stage of malignancy, prior treatment)
· Could it become standard of care?
§ Compare Mozobil with and differentiate it from other investigational agents
§ Discuss other possible areas of investigation for Mozobil
· Other malignancies – leukemias
