Project Objectives

Panel Intelligence engaged a panel of neurologists in a discussion designed to understand the current and emerging therapies that are used to treat Alzheimer’s disease (AD). In addition to this primary objective, the qualitative study aimed to:

§    Understand current treatment practices for mild, moderate, and severe AD

§    Discuss the use of statins in patients with AD

§    Explore the relationship between type 2 diabetes and AD

§    Review the vaccines used to treat AD

§    Evaluate emerging treatment therapies for AD including but not limited to Acceria’s Ketasyn, Eli Lilly’s LY450139, Neurochem’s Alzehemed™, and Myriad Genetics’ Flurizan™

§    Review immunotherapy practices involved in AD treatment
